Any SolidWorks products that
are not upgraded are removed from your computer. You can upgrade to a new release:
When you receive new installation media.
Insert the DVD in the drive and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
When you are notified of upgrades through Check for Updates.
You can upgrade the current installation or install the new release in parallel.
To upgrade to a new release through Check for Updates:
On the Upgrade Options screen, select:
Create a new installation of SolidWorks <latest version and service pack>
Some products must be upgraded instead of being installed new.
Upgrade SolidWorks <currently installed major version> to <latest service pack>
This upgrades the currently installed version of SolidWorks to the specified service pack level.
Upgrade SolidWorks <currently installed major version> to SolidWorks <latest version and service pack>
If more than one major version of SolidWorks is installed on this computer, you can choose the version to upgrade.

To update the PDMWorks Workgroup Clients:
The clients detect when the Vault has been updated. You do not need to download a service pack to update clients. See Update Clients in the PDMWorks Workgroup online help for instructions.
