System Requirements

See System Requirements for the full list of qualified SolidWorks Enterprise PDM components and to ensure successful installation and optimum performance.

  • SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2013 supports SolidWorks 2013, 2012, and 2011. The combination of a newer version of SolidWorks and an older version of Enterprise PDM is not supported.
  • SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2013 Client requires .NET Framework 4.0, which is now installed as a prerequisite. If you have custom API add-ins that have been compiled for .NET 3.5 Framework, you must install .NET 3.5 Framework manually if it is not present on the operating system.

Operating System and SQL Server Support

See System Requirements for the full list of operating systems and SQL Server versions supported by SolidWorks and SolidWorks Enterprise PDM applications.

Installation

Upgrading from Pre-Release Software

You are now prompted to accept the End-User License Agreements for every service pack upgrade for every product.

The full row selection highlighting described in What's New for SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2013 is turned off by default.

Users who want entire rows to be highlighted when they are selected can turn this feature on by clicking Display > Options > Full Row Select.

When full row highlighting is turned on, to access the File View shortcut menu, right-click at the bottom of the file list.
