This document provides general information about the SolidWorks® Enterprise PDM 2014 SP5 release.

SolidWorks 2014, including SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2014, is the last release that supports Microsoft Office 2007. SolidWorks 2015 and SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2015 will not support Microsoft Office 2007.

SolidWorks 2014, including the SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2014 CAD Editor, is the last release that supports 32-bit operating systems. SolidWorks 2015 and the SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2015 CAD Editor will not install on 32-bit operating systems.
SolidWorks Network License Server 2014 will not install on Windows® XP, Windows Vista®, and Windows Server® 2003 operating systems.
SolidWorks 2014 will not run with a parallel-port licensing dongle.
SolidWorks Viewer will be replaced by eDrawings Viewer 2015, starting with the SolidWorks 2015 release. eDrawings Viewer 2015 is available on 64-bit operating systems only. For the complete list of supported operating systems, see http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/SystemRequirements.html. The SolidWorks 2014 Viewer will remain available for download, but will not open SolidWorks 2015 and later models.
SolidWorks 2015 will not support the Swedish version of SolidWorks Enterprise PDM.
You are now prompted to accept the End-User License Agreements for every service pack upgrade for every product.
SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2014 supports the use of the Windows Server 2012 operating system for the database, archive, and Web servers. SolidWorks 2014 supports the use of the Windows Server 2012 operating system for the SolidWorks Network License Server.
SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2014 SP03 supports the use of the Windows Server 2012 R2 operating system for the database, archive, and Web servers.
Previous Release Interoperability is not available in SolidWorks 2014. SolidWorks 2014 SP5 will not open files created or saved in SolidWorks 2015.
SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2014 supports SolidWorks 2014, 2013, and 2012. The combination of a newer version of SolidWorks and an older version of Enterprise PDM is not supported.
The user interface is now available in Turkish for SolidWorks Enterprise PDM.
The use of Inventor View 2013 and Inventor View 2014 to preview Inventor files is currently not supported in SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2014. A bitmap-based image of the file is used in its place.
