Known Issues

Adobe Acrobat 3D. Executing 3D Capture in Adobe Acrobat 3D causes eDrawings to consume large amounts of memory. Adobe recommends removing SolidWorks and eDrawings from the list of applications under Edit, Preferences, 3D Capture in the Acrobat 3D application.

ATI FireGL graphics card. eDrawings crashes or hangs on ATI FireGL graphics cards (both desktop and laptop) when using a driver version greater than 8.062 (2d Driver 6.14.10.6483). To correct the problem, go to Control Panel, Display, Settings, Advanced, Configuration and select "SolidWorks" as the active profile.

Annotations. The eDrawings Viewer does not support the option Always display text at the same size (in SolidWorks at Tools, Options, Document Properties, Detailing, Annotations Display) for SolidWorks documents. Annotation text scaling is supported for eDrawings part and assembly files published from SolidWorks; only 1:1 text scaling is supported for SolidWorks part and assembly files in eDrawings.

Macintosh:

SolidWorks Drawings. Perspective views created in SolidWorks drawings are not shaded in the eDrawings Viewer.
