The Installation Manager enables you to perform multiple installations by creating an administrative image and a file <admin_dir>\StartSWInstall.hta to send to clients.
Browse to a location with at least the free space shown. This location must be accessible from the computers on which SolidWorks is to be installed.
The administrative image must be in a shared folder so it can be deployed to clients.
You
should specify the network share in UNC
format.
Configure the Installation Manager to install administrative images to the default location in the C:\Program Files directory on client computers or change the client computer installation path. The location you choose must have at least the free space shown.
Specify how the client installations will be run by selecting any of the following:
Select this option to perform a silent activation of the SolidWorks licenses when the client first starts SolidWorks.
When you finish creating the administrative image, you are prompted for the license activation contact information.
If
you use SolidNetWork licensing, you should not auto-activate client installations.
Creating a diagnostic log during client installation helps you troubleshoot installation problems; however, the client installations will be slower.
Enter a user name and password to run the installation as a user other than the one currently logged in.
For example, if your users do not have administrative privileges, you can create an administrative account with full privileges on each client computer and specify it here.
Browse to the program to run before installation.
For example, since each SolidWorks product requires a separate administrative image, you can write a script that installs all of the images without user intervention. Use this option to instruct the administrative image installer to run the script before beginning the installations.
Browse to the program to run after installation.
