This help describes installation, licensing, and administration of SolidWorks®, DWGeditor®, eDrawings®, COSMOS®, and PDMWorks® Workgroup for both individual installations and multiple installations.
SolidWorks Search is integrated with Microsoft®
Windows®
Desktop Search. You are asked to install or update Microsoft Windows Desktop
Search during the SolidWorks installation if the correct version is not
already installed on your computer.
Microsoft Windows Desktop Search must be installed manually
on client computers prior to installing an administrative image.

The SolidWorks Installation Manager provides opportunity to specify settings for SolidWorks, SolidWorks Toolbox, PDMWorks Workgroup Server, and SolidWorks SolidNetWork License Server.
The PDMWorks Workgroup application is project data management software that runs inside the SolidWorks environment or as a standalone application inside SolidWorks Explorer. PDMWorks Workgroup controls projects with procedures for check out, check in, revision control, and other administration tasks.
