You are now ready to download the files. To start the download, click Next.
The estimated download time and disk space requirements are based on the complete component listing chosen, regardless of whether this is a new download or you are resuming a download from a previous session. For example, if you are resuming a previous download the Installation Manager will process only those files that have not already been downloaded. The download time could be less than the estimate.
The Installation Manager downloads, verifies, and extracts all files in parallel during the download process.

Choose this option to start the installation automatically once the download is complete. After the download completes, there are warning messages before the installation starts and you have an opportunity to stop the installation.
To download the files but not install, clear this option.
Click this link to examine or update the download settings you have specified in the Installation Manager.
You can update these settings:
Download folder:
To change the download folder from the location shown, click Browse.
The download folder should contain files only from the version you
are downloading. Do not use a single download folder for multiple versions.
Speed up downloads
by using more network bandwidth: The downloader uses an algorithm
to increase the speed of the download by increasing the network bandwidth
used during the download.
In some cases, this can disturb network performance. If you have trouble
downloading, this option might not be supported by the proxy server. Try
clearing the option and attempting the download again. For details, check
with your network administrator.
Postpone download for <n> hours: You can specify that the download run at some future time.
Download only: If this option appears you can specify to not install the files on your computer at this time.
Never delete individual files or folders contained in the download folder. If you delete anything, delete the entire download folder. Otherwise, installations might fail or the Installation Manager might become unstable.
Do not delete the download folder unless all of the following are true:
In the How to Upgrade options, you selected Upgrade using a small download which requires the DVD or previously downloaded files, or you never intend to upgrade this version in the future.
You do not intend to modify your installation in the future.
You do not intend to share your files with other users at your organization.
If one or more of these conditions does not apply and you require more drive space, you can remove the download folder only if you create a new copy on DVD (multiple copies are recommended). If you need the files in the future, you should restore them to their original location.

To share downloaded files with other users:
Click Browse to change your download folder.
Specify a UNC path to an existing share.
A shortcut to the Installation Manager is created at the top level of the folder referenced by the UNC path. Other users can use that shortcut to install SolidWorks products on their computer. If they install a product component not specified in your download, they might have to download additional files into this download folder. Otherwise, they will not require downloading additional files unless their computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for the version they are installing.
